Registration is now open! Take the 2-day award-winning AARP driving refresher course designed especially for drivers 50 and over, though it can be taken by licensed drivers of all ages. There are no tests. This training teaches proven driving techniques to help keep you and your loved ones safe on the road.

Additionally, some insurance companies offer safe driving discounts at their own discretion; participants should contact their insurance company for more details.

Monday, February 16, 2026 8 AM to 12:00 PM and Tuesday February 17, 8AM to 12:00PM.

Township Meeting Room, 16N491 Powers Road, Gilberts, IL 60136 (on the northeast corner of Big Timber and Powers Roads). The entrance is next to the U.S. flag pole. 

Light refreshments will be provided. 

AARP Member: $20, Non-Member $25. Please bring cash or a check to the first day of class to provide to the the AARP instructor. 
Checks (made payable to AARP) or cash only (credit cards are not accepted).
The class will be taught by AARP instructor, Edward Urban. The township will not handle payment for this two-day course.

All course materials, including Participant Guidebooks, are provided. Participants who attend & complete the two-day course receive a certificate that may entitle them to a reduction in their auto insurance premiums.
